AppSumo Lifetime Deals Worth Buying in 2026
We tracked 40+ AppSumo lifetime deals over 6 months of usage. Most aren't worth it. These 5 are.
AppSumo sells lifetime access to SaaS tools for a one-time payment. Most of these tools are early-stage startups trading revenue for user growth. Some go on to build sustainable businesses. Most don’t — they run out of money, stop updating, or pivot and shut down the product you paid for.
We’ve been tracking AppSumo deals for two years. Here are the 5 that are still standing and worth buying in 2026.
1. BHuman — AI video personalization
What it does: Record one video. BHuman clones your face and voice to generate personalized versions for each recipient — inserting their name, company, or custom variable into the video.
Why it’s still alive (2+ years post-deal): BHuman found product-market fit in sales outreach and customer onboarding. It raised a Series A in 2025 and the lifetime deal holders have been grandfathered.
Price at launch: $59 (now $49/mo on SaaS). Still worth it at any price if you do cold outreach.
2. Minvo — social video clip maker
What it does: Takes a long-form video (podcast, webinar, YouTube) and auto-extracts short clips with captions for TikTok, Reels, and Shorts.
Why it survived: The short-form video editing market is enormous and Minvo’s AI clip detection is genuinely good — it identifies the most engaging segments based on energy, topic shifts, and speaker emphasis.
Price at launch: $49. Still functional. Competitors (Opus Clip, Munch) charge $19-49/mo.
3. Taskade — AI-powered workspace
What it does: Notes, tasks, mind maps, and AI agents in one collaborative workspace. Think Notion + Asana + an AI assistant.
Why it survived: Taskade has been iterating aggressively — the AI agent feature added in 2025 is genuinely useful for project management automation. The company is profitable.
Price at launch: $79 for 5 seats. SaaS pricing: $8/seat/month.
4. SEO Pilot — AI content workflow
What it does: Generates SEO-optimized article outlines and drafts based on SERP analysis. Not a full writer — an assistant for content teams.
Why it survived: Narrow focus. SEO Pilot doesn’t try to replace writers; it gives them SERP data in a structured format.
Price at launch: $49. Still actively maintained. Limited utility if you use a dedicated SEO tool (Ahrefs, Semrush).
5. Pismo — AI writing assistant
What it does: Rewrites, summarizes, translates, and proofreads text inside any app via a system-wide popup (Mac/Windows).
Why it survived: Pismo was acquired by a larger productivity suite in 2025. The lifetime deal was honored post-acquisition. The tool continues to improve.
Price at launch: $39. Now integrated with the parent company’s suite.
The ones we can’t recommend anymore
- Depositphotos deal — still functional but stock photo AI generation (Midjourney, DALL-E) has made it less relevant
- SendFox — email marketing for $49 lifetime sounded great. The UI hasn’t been updated in 18 months.
- Mailpost — shut down in Q3 2025. No refund.
Verdict
AppSumo lifetime deals are a gamble. The winners (BHuman, Taskade, Pismo) deliver 10-50× return on the initial investment. The losers just disappear. Our rule: never buy an AppSumo deal for a critical business function. Buy for experimentation and accept the risk.
Rating: 7/10 (for the tools, not the platform).
